Obtained from Cherokee County GIS Web Application (gis.cherokeega.com) on 10/01/2020.Address dataset is maintained by Cherokee County. Addresses were integrated with Woodstock addresses that were not included in the Cherokee County dataset. These addresses included suite numbers and more detailed address information pertaining to the City. The dataset was then clipped from the county level down to a smaller area around the city to imrpove accuracy and performance when geocoding. The complete unclipped dataset can be found in the legacy database.
To show locations of addresses within the City of Woodstock.
Added a field 'Source' which was populated with information about which dataset each address point came from. Some addresses that Woodstock had collected in the past were more accurate than those which Cherokee County had collected, so in that case the 'Source' field was populated with 'Woodstock'. If neither the County or the City had accurate information for an address point, the point was manually entered or attributes changed and the 'Source' field was populated with 'Manual'. Including this field should ease future integration of Cherokee County data to the City's as we will already know which dataset is deemed to be more accurate.
