Areas within the city that were not included in the OSSI shapefile or were assigned a ward value of "0" were made part of the ward they were adjacent to. Areas in the OSSI shapefile that were outside the city limits were eliminated. The dataset is periodically updated to reflect changes in the city limits. CityLimits050609 and TaxParcels_03_11_09 were traced to create the new police wards. Ward boundaries were determined by referencing a shapefile obtained from OSSI. Areas within the city that were not included in the OSSI shapefile or were assigned a ward value of "0" were made part of the ward they were adjacent to. Areas in the OSSI shapefile that were outside the city limits were eliminated.
